After the successes of The Standard, London (2019) and The Standard, Ibiza (2021), The Standard hotel brand is ready to embark on its next chapter in Europe with the debut of its newest hotel in Belgium's lively capital – welcome to The Standard, Brussels.

Internationally, The Standard is known for its food & drink concepts, and Brussels is no exception. Three completely different experiences await you, each with its own character, flavor profile, and atmosphere. From rooftop dining with panoramic views to laid-back all-day classics and stylish cocktail sessions — this is where you want to be.

The Standard, Brussels offers three culinary concepts:

Lila29 – Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

Take the elevator to the 29th floor and feel like you’re at the top of the world — inside or outside — as you marvel at panoramic views of Brussels. Towering over any other rooftop in the city, this elegant restaurant and bar, complete with a dance-floor worthy partially covered green space, is made for hosting that party sure to conjure up feelings of #FOMO.

Decadent Iberian cuisine awaits while you sip on a glass of cava, the namesake Lila29 Spritz or a Green Peppercorn Coconut Martini. Stare at the gorgeous views while enjoying small bites, like tomate or crab Pan de Cristal, or an assortment of croquetas before dinner, along with Cantabrian anchovies (we know you love your tinned-fish!), and the satisfyingly salty-sweet contrast of Melon & Jamon Iberico. For mains, there’s the Lomo de Rubia Gallega with Arroz negro or Tortilla and Padrón. End the evening with a nightcap on Brussels’s highest seasonal rooftop.

Double Standard – All-day Diner & Bar

The all-day dining on the ground floor pays brings a mash-up of American and Belgian cuisine (and a top-notch beer list). Fuel-up before a long day with pancakes, a Belgian Frittata or go big with the Full Belgian, and a cup of coffee (or a Pickled Lemon Bloody Mary, if that’s your vibe). For lunch or dinner, they’ve got you covered with the DS Burger — a dry-aged beef & bone marrow patty topped with creamy raclette and Brussels ketchup, or the Fried Chicken and Savoury Waffles (a Belgian twist on an American classic).

For a quick bite, they have grab & go lunches, or if you want to sit there’s the croffle (shorthand for croissant and waffle) & beef tartar, fried okra with ranch, or a prawn cocktail. Wash it all down with a Foam Fall Manhattan or Ginger Margarita. It’s an American diner meets a traditional Belgian brasserie with an outdoor

terrace. Enjoy an after-work drink inside the stunning greenhouse, where you just might bump into somebody you know — or want to know.

Lobby Bar

This isn’t your typical hotel bar. Kick off your evening or end your night just a short hop from the lobby. This Mid-Century Modern space combines style and elegance, with dramatic high ceilings, and expertly made cocktails.

The bar’s signature drinks instantly set the tone. Try the Amber Sipper — an elegant blend of bourbon, Lillet Blanc, and citrus — or go for the Poir Riff, made with vodka, pear, anise verjus, and dry vermouth. Enjoy it like a classic Martini or add a sparkling twist for a royal finish. These creations are truly one-of-a-kind — a bold reimagining of the Martini you’ll only find there.

They also have a selection of fine champagne, non-alcoholic mocktails, and of course Belgian beer. For apéro hour (or anytime really), there’s a wide range of bites, from savory olives and nuts to croquettes, oysters, and Wagyu Beef Sliders. Come for the lively atmosphere and eclectic people watching and sit at our circular bar for a quiet glass during the day, a romantic drink before the night gets a little spicier, or a final nightcap to wind down before bedtime.
